The Milborne Port Pharmacy offers both private and NHS flu vaccination services.
Getting vaccinated against the flu is highly recommended to protect yourself and those around you. Whether you are concerned about catching the flu, taking time off work, or protecting vulnerable family members, the flu vaccine can provide you with protection and peace of mind.
For individuals aged 18 and older who are eligible for the vaccine free of charge, we provide NHS flu jabs.
Who is eligible?
The NHS flu jab for the current season is available to the following groups:
– Adults aged 65 and over
– Individuals with certain medical conditions (including at-risk children from 6 months of age)
– Pregnant women
– People living with someone on the NHS shielded patient list (high risk from coronavirus)
– Frontline health or social care workers
The free service has recently been expanded to include individuals aged 50 and over. If you do not qualify for a free NHS flu jab, we also offer private flu vaccinations for both individuals under and over the age of 65.
Who should not get the flu jab?
While most people can receive the flu vaccine, there are a few exceptions:
– If you are currently unwell with a fever, it is recommended to delay getting the flu jab.
– If you have an egg allergy, it is advisable to consult your GP or pharmacist before receiving the vaccine.
Please consult our pharmacy team to determine your eligibility and learn how to receive your NHS flu jab. We are here to help protect you and your loved ones from the flu.
